Conscience #18
LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart;
Hear a just cause, O LORD, attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips.
Let my vindication come from Your presence; let Your eyes look on the things that are upright.
You have tested my heart; you have visited me in the night; you have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has recompensed me.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me.
Psalms 15:1-2, 17:1-3, 18:20-22, www.solascriptura.com
Father, these prayers of David teach us much. We know that David sinned and here he knows he was forgiven and that the life that he led was in pursuit of righteousness. Help us each O’God, to know that our love for You and our obedience of Your statutes is a base line expectation that You hold.
Help us as we humbly come before You, this day, to be reassured, as David was, of your forgiveness and love. Thank You Jesus for making all of this possible, amen.
