Father, we live a life of comfort, largely free from fear of the type David experienced. What kind of fear do we face? We fear failure, we fear not having enough of what we need to face tomorrow and we fear being outside of Your grace and mercy. What is it Father that You would have to do with fear of every type?

The answer is clear. We must trust in You, knowing that nothing happens in our lives and in the lives of our families of which You are unaware. What a marvelous truth Father; You love us and if we love You, You direct our footsteps, You counsel us and comfort us, even when we feel absolutely frustrated by our circumstances.

You number our wanderings. You put our tears in a bottle and You record them in the Book of Life, a complete composition of all that Your children think, experience and feel. We are unworthy of such love. Help us to respond in a perfect way. We pray in Jesus' Holy name, amen.
