... 'You are My Son, today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.

Father, we know the Psalmist is referring to Jesus here but we also know from many references that we are Your sons, Your children and that our birth was no surprise to You.

You have told us that Jesus has been given all authority when it comes to separating the saints from the sinners, the sheep from the goats and we see here that Jesus possesses everything that exists, now and forever. Our future is in Your care Jesus. When we have been claimed by You by responding to Your love, we belong to the Father. You and the Father are One.

Help us this day to look to You for guidance, comfort and counsel. In Jesus' Holy name, we pray, amen.
